Who is Nahomie JB Millien?
A committed voice for equity, an inspiring leadership for women’s empowerment
With over 15 years of experience in development project evaluation and management, I have built my career around the values of social justice and inclusion. My commitment to women’s empowerment and economic equity has led me to become a leading voice in this field, particularly in Haiti, my country of origin.
In 2018, I founded Centre Kaizen, the first consulting firm in Haiti dedicated to gender equality and women’s empowerment. As Chief Executive Officer, I have led ambitious initiatives, including the first study on perceptions of pay equity in Haiti and the production of a film focused on women’s leadership.
An academic and practical journey dedicated to advancing women’s economic empowerment
Alongside my professional career, I am pursuing a PhD in Work and Employment Studies at Université Laval, where my research focuses on how remote work—through the balance between women’s personal and professional lives—affects women’s careers. My multidisciplinary approach strengthens my ability to propose concrete solutions to address the structural challenges women face.
